Christin Gerum was born in Hesse in 1979. After training as a fashion designer and pattern maker in Berlin, where she won an award at an international competition, she began to specialize in knitwear and jersey. Working for various fashion companies brought her to Ticino in 2007, where she worked for the first time as a manager in various areas. Deciding against a management career and in favor of the product, she is now one of the few specialists in the industry, which led her to start her own business in 2019.
As the owner of her own design and consulting office, she advises various fashion companies and firms on product, processes, communication, quality and portfolio. Since 2007, she has been working on various issues of sustainability, collection efficiency, fair and ethically correct production of garments in the industry. Christin Gerum is convinced that the fashion industry has reached its limits and that not only companies, production facilities and countries, but also our consumer behavior must radically change, but that now is also the right time for change and new beginnings. Her heart beats for committed and passionate people, nature and the mountains, good food and, of course, everything to do with threads.
