The first time Jonathan (the trio's singer) was on stage at a school band contest, he tasted blood and never wanted to leave the spotlight again. He says he loves music, but really just wants to be loved by everyone. Just like all artists. However, as this kind of thinking doesn't help anyone and only encourages self-doubt, we won't pay any attention to this problem here.
DAS BLÜHENDE LEBEN is a rock trio from Mannheim. They play a mixture of rock, punk and NDW, with lyrics that could perhaps be described as life-affirming, but everyone is welcome to form their own opinion. Musically, DBL is reminiscent of the much angrier Tokio Hotel. You don't always have to pretend that you've reinvented the wheel. There are reasons why things are the way they are. These things are usually fun and can stay that way. Jonathan, Tim and Josh are from Mannheim and founded DBL in 2019. What they have in common: Falling in love with Hayley Williams and Heather Baron-Gracie. Since then, they have been making music for people who are angry about life, picking them up on the spot and sending them home feeling good. DBL is the new chameleon of the rock landscape. Whoever hears the new songs next year may end their relationship.
